  1. I’m not liking that every character and skin now is “limited time” and goes away if not finished in a small amount of time.
Except for the events, they used to have these be attached to a district and they came up as you completed questlines and you could take as long as you wanted or rush them and they’d just be there.
I get event characters being timed and go away after the event, but regular play should not be timed. Where’s the fun then and where’s the point of long term play if everything must be rushed and logged in every hour on the hour day and night?
Just venting. But aside from Pawtucket Pat, it seems that everything has been timed lately. Not a fan of that.

  2. I thought I would be smart and build more than one historical log cabin but it doesn’t seem to be available in the store.

Did anybody get a chance to build multiples?

  3. This is too hard again. Apart from the yellow always dropping birds, they’re practically impossible. Either halve the number of birds required or double the time. That’s how bad I’m struggling and I literally play every 4 hours.

  4. I just logged in… THEY UPDATED THE GAME!!! They added Peter to the Green Birds! He can now “Over Eat” every 6 hours for another attempt at the Green Bird!

  5. I’ve just had a message back from support, they’ve added Peters overeat 6 hour task to the green bird drops. Still going to be tough!!!

  6. I was figuring this character to be practically impossible as well. I’m just playing along for something to do til the next event. Also Tiny Co seems to have a habit of extending things like this, so no point in getting stressed about it.

  7. Too bad for tiny co on this one…I usually buy a $100 clam pack every other month but listening to everyone’s post lately. I steeped back and paid fo attention to this one and no way you can get costume without spending. I think I am going to start giving all my money to the Simpsons! At least they are fair to all who play. Fee players and paid players each have a chance at getting what they want. And guess what? You actually use the in game money you collect. They arw not trying to steal from their customers! GO EA SPORTS! Simpsons is an excellent product and fair to all that play!

    1. Honestly, my dedication to the game is wavering. As someone who played since the beginning, I’m extremely invested in this game time wise and $10 in cash wise.

At the beginning, I made excuses for high claim per dollar price as they had start up costs to cover and a staff to pay. I always assumed once they started turning a profit, clam packages would either cost less or have more clams at each level. I’m not screaming for more free clams because I don’t think that would be fair to them. I just want more clams for those that financial support the game like the people whose blood, sweat, tears, and hard earned cash go into this guide (yep. They pay just like everyone else). As it stands, premium characters cost about $8 or more each and rarely have any use outside of their corresponding event (the building have even less involvement later beyond coin drops). Lump together all the premium characters and buildings from a single event and you have spent more than you would have on a console game with DLC with a lot more play time per dollar. I’m not insulting the micropay concept. It works and they should be paid for their work. I’m just saying I don’t think the real world cost of each thing is reasonable and I don’t appreciate the fact that coins become moot after playing as long as I have ( I’ve got $2,000,000).

The first mini event forced freemium players to check the clowns like clockwork and wake up in the middle of the night to make it, but it was understandable as it was the first event and they were bound to make mistakes. The long events have improved greatly, but mini events are usually either near impossible or outright impossible without clams. If my frustration is building, I know less patient players must be climbing the walls. I’m still playing because I’m too invested, but there are others out there that are less patient and won’t wait for tinyco to get the formula right. They make a great an entertaining game; they just need to learn how to better balance profit, ethics, and rewards.

  9. Feeling more and more like I’m done with this game after the star trek event and now this… Just think I’d rather have free time rather than put it towards inevitable soul crushing defeat.

  10. Is anyone getting a “config character action” error message? the game was working fine a while ago and now when I try to enter that pops up and can’t get into the game ;^;

  11. Has anyone else found they have been given Soap Opera Peter, even though you didn’t gain the outfit the first time around?
I was nowhere near finishing that event, but Peters outfit popped up in his inventory today!

  12. Did anyone else get a notification saying one time discount on stark trek character with a picture of Spock but it still said 265 clams.. What was that all about

    1. I seen it as well! I think it was just a glitch tho because yeah Spock DID actually cost 265 and I was like ummm Star Trek event is over so I have NO idea why that was popping up as soon as I logged into my game last night. 😊

      1. I wouldn’t mind but 265 isn’t even a discount lol, I might consider it if it was like maybe 50-75 clams lol but I’m saving my clams for the actual FG characters who’ll have quests and tasks and reasons for being there

  13. Get real, Tinyco! Do you want us to have a fair chance or not? Set all birds at level Always, or make the event last two weeks. This is ridiculous!

    1. I agree with Erik! This event is CRAP! Barely any characters are assigned tasks to help collect birds and on top of that the 20 blue birds at a rare drop rate will never happen. I have been playing noon stop since it launched and only two damn blue birds! No way we get this costume without spending clams! I have no qualms about spending clams art all but when you set up a challenge without a true mathematical chance then the it bull poo! Add more tasks and take a math class!

  14. Did we learn nothing from Soap Opera Peter by designing challenges that are mathematical improbabilities? We entered the Star Trek event coming off that disappointment of a challenge that was not possible based on the time that it was available. Then we grind and grind and grind for two months during the Star Trek event. Now two of the four birds are virtual impossibilities with the time it is available. Seriously, TinyCo. Are you TRYING to drive players away from the game?

  15. Hey guys
I agree with those, who are tired after Star Trek event…
And if you can count (it’s a task for 10 yo kid) … It’s impossible to get the costume without spending clams…
    You need 30 green birds
There are three characters that drop them, each in 12 hours task… You can get max 6 of them a day, but you won’t, because drop rate is “common”… All this in 5 days…

    Huge disappointment TinyCo

  16. Not going to get one clam out of me! How many other outfits do I have that I never use? If I get it, great…if I don’t, I don’t care I’m NOT going to be sucked in to this again and I suggest you don’t either or this will keep happening.
Also, I agree a short break after the event would have been nice!
Moaning aside…..enjoyed the Star Trek event, well done!

  17. Normally yall know I withhold judgment until the end, but I have to reflect the consensus on this one. It’s working just like the very first mini event when we had to work for Pee Pants which I thought they had learned from. We are all tired after the last event JUST ended. Give everybody a week to recoup and people who haven’t finished the main storyline a little time to play the main game. I mean, would like a few days where I don’t have to set a Check Family Guy alarm. The only reason this timeline to get the costume makes sense is if we consider that they are probably doing it to try to get people to spend some of the clams they won during Star Trek. We won a lot of clams and a lot of people chose to save them rather than spend them during the event. How many of us would part with a hand full of those to get the last few birds we are missing?

    1. I disagree, love it that they’re fixing a new event this fast! I’m not playing if there are no events or new land quests, so this is really great! No pause! 🙂

      1. For advanced players like us, I agree that we usually either quit playing or go on just once per day (to collect a clam) during non events, but getting to the end of the main storyline takes months and we can all agree that storyline progression stops during events. They should have a week or two to try to progress their game between events. Back to back events kind of sets them up for failure as they couldn’t get all the possible characters in time which do the actions they need for event item drops. I like that they included Stewie in the higher levels of the Star Wars event and I want them to continue to include higher district characters in events to reward those of us who have gotten that far in the game; I just want to give newer players a window to catch up and us a little down time. At the very least, it should be a relaxed mini event to where newer players could work for the costume, but be able to work on progressing their storyline on the side.

Plus, I would like one freakin weekend where I don’t have to explain to my family why I have to check my game every few hours!

  18. One more reason to add TinyCo to the list of overly greedy mobile game companies. Businesses exist to make a profit, but this company is absurdly rude to the customer base about it.

  19. For me in the US, I will have exactly 30 possible drops for the 30 green birds. One missed drop and I am out of the running. This is becoming too commonplace with TinyCo where they haven’t thought out the math in their own challenges. The purple birds aren’t much better with 25 rare needed in potentially 45 drops provided you get three 8-hour drops for each of the three characters each day. No matter what people write after it happens, I don’t view TinyCo as heroic or magnanimous when they swoop in at the end of events and change numbers required so people can complete it. Just set the challenge up properly from the beginning with realistic numbers. I don’t want to be done with the challenge in less than three days, but I at least want to know that I can successfully complete it within the time frame presented. It makes me not even want to bother with these weekend events or events at all. Are you hearing this TinyCo??

  20. Yeah. The time frame for these is pretty ridiculous. Even if they drop every single time, you would just barely make it. And of course they use characters that could be getting birds, like Chris, in the quest line.

  21. If players can see the difficulty immediately I hope everybody now realises that this is their business model.

Force freemium players to play the game at every opportunity to earn the item.

Casual players will need to spend clams to catch up.

Change the drops/requirements at the last minute for holdouts/latecomers.

Everybody is happy because TinyCo is so good to us.

  22. I agree. Those task times within those days make it extremely tight. A few missed drops and no Peter. They need to add more tasks or raise drop rates. Especially since the update came late @ night where people missed 3 chances right off the bat because they were sleeping. I understand it needs to be challenging; but not to the point of being stressful.
