  1. I figured I’d let the players who don’t have locutus yet know, he’s useless does nothing, gives nothing, only good for away missions to bring up chances. I feel every character from the show should help you get something. Am I wrong? And although I don’t seem to have much difficulty getting condoms by blowing up shielded Peter craft the amount needed will take way to long as they aren’t always dropped and shots don’t always seem to take so Tinyco needs to drop the amount in half. I have sent a request if everyone sends in a request that reads this maybe they will hear are pleas! Good luck to all!

    1. I agree. Getting condoms isn’t hard once you know how, but getting the phaser energy takes too long if we need 42 condoms. That’s means at least 84 phaser energy and that isn’t possible in a week, is it? I’ve also sent them an in-game message and strongly encourage everyone else. The more if us that do it, the more likely they are to do something about it.
SEND IN YOUR MESSAGES TO TINYCO!!

      1. Its not as hard as you think. as of tonights update i will have had a full 2 days since i have used any and i will have between 50-60 of them built back up just from using the 2 rooms in sick bay and most characters that weren’t involed in wrapping up all of my questlines for this phase and a couple that were still there from last week. only one i won’t be able to complete is health and sickness part 4 where Beverly abuses prescriptions for 12 hours. I could complete it but i want here free for tonights update in case she is needed for items.

    2. I have to agree. I even bought premium characters and spent way too many clams on this event and while I’m at Starfleet level 8 with less than a day before upgrading the Warp Core, I am less than half the way through getting either Crusher or Vulcan Quagmire. When I finally unlocked Locutus … the best thing to say about him is that it’s cute when he plays with Borg kittens. Otherwise, useless for anything but away missions. I’m glad he didn’t have quests since there are so many quests anyway but save kitten cuteness and away missions, I agree he’s useless and the amount of items needed for Crusher and Quagmire are even more ridiculous than the ones for Locutus and Lois.

  2. So I just got locutus and sf Lois then upgraded my warp core level and did road to recovery part 1, but I haven’t got part 2 yet. I still have a load of quest lines open from the previous weeks so that might be something to do with it. Any ideas?

it jus wasn’t the same at all witout out YOU๐ŸŒŸ

So I was just wondering if y’all had a walkthrough yet for Skimpy Sarong Herbert’s questline “All The Way Bare”?… I’m only on Pt.2 of it. Did any of you complete that one yet and do you plan to add into this post? Curious that’s all! Lol seems like I always ask similar questions like that, but I only do it to see if I get thru the right parts and what not just in case my game gets a glitch and automatically skips a part or whatever…I’m weird to even think up of something like that I know ain’t gotta tell me that twice lmfao!!! ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜„

  4. I and my husband play loyally he uses a iPhone 5c I use a rca android tablet pro. Neither one of us see red shirt people to get the Mind meld for Dummies book and the quests that are listed. I have locutus, Lois, Deanna, riker, Chris skin, Geordie, Mort skin, peter skin, my quests I am in the middle of compleing are are, Q that’s who pt.1 (won’t pay for characters), the road to recovery part 2, an endless battle part 3, Lois to the bridge part 3, wise council part 2, blind leading the blind part 3. My husband has same characters except Locutus. He is in the middle of completing these quests a ship without Picard part 8,Q thats who part , Louis to the bridge part 3, from boy to Klingon part 1, manchild on board part 1, and wise counsel part 3. We are both at starfleet level 9 close to 10. We are strictly freemium players. Please can you tell us when the red shirts show up thank you? Also, I found out why shielded Pete craft weren’t giving out things needed, you have to hit the craft twice before it goes off screen, in other words if it goes off screen before your second hit it resets! I now have no problems blowing it up and getting condoms its the orange crystals I can’t get! Thanks for all the time you guys put in to help us for free!

    1. That’s a great tip on the Petercraft Meredith, thank you, I’ll let the other gamers know and credit you with the discovery ๐Ÿ˜Š as for the red shirts, I believe that there are a few gamers (myself included) who haven’t had any red shirts yet, but I have an educated guess as to what it could be (and if I’m wrong then I apologise ahead of time lol)

      1) we’re not upto a certain quest yet where they generate

      2) (and more probable) there’s a room you can build on the Enterprise, which generates red shirts, could it be that we have to build that to generate shirts? (Just a guess)

Either way, let us know if you try these and if they work/don’t work ๐Ÿ˜Š

      1. I haven’t got any either but I’m GUESSING that we need Beverly crusher, as she can clear them. Otherwise the ship would just be flooded with red shirts and we couldn’t do anything about it.
But that’s just my guess. Can anyone confirm this?

        Like

    2. The Red Shirts didn’t appear for me until I had completed part 2 or 3 of the Road to Recovery questline. So your husband will need to unlock Locutus first and progress into this weeks gold quests and you will just need to finish another quest or two before they appear for you.

    3. I had the same problem. I used Q and cleared them all At R2R pt 2. They came back after i made it to road to recovery part 6. I don’t know if they were supposed to disappear or not. By the time support got back to me i was on part 6 so I didn’t give it much more attention.

  5. Is anyone else just ignoring all of the quests regardless of them being main quests or side ones? I just feel like they waste time.

    Like

    1. I’m not entirely ignoring them – I am doing the main quests where possible, but the side quests I stick in only when they are convenient to me. Just now I went to assign Peter to a task and was amused at the fact that I have 5 or 6 quests that all need him to do one thing or another and so whatever task I picked for him would progress something.

I’m also keeping an eye on the walkthroughs for points where I can kill 2 birds with one stone. For example I waited for Starfleet Lois to go Rage Shoot until I needed her to do it for both her quest from last week (which since I didn’t unlock her until this week I still had) and for the main quest. Now I need her to lead cadets for both Klingon Meg’s quest and for Q’s quest and I’ll likely send her on that before I go to bed tonight.

    2. The way i am seeing this event is collect collect collect. If you need 42 condoms and the only way to get them is with 84 hits on peter craft. With an character collecting energon cubes every 6 hours that is 504 hours of wages needed to collect them. I can hire 4 at this time so that is 126 hours without sleep for these guys. Or 5 and 1 fourth earth days. I am not the best shooter so i am seeing the extra energy from buildings and my bad aim as equiling out. Now this is for the hardest thing in my opinion in the event to get… the space condoms so that vulcan quagmire can do the shocker hand gesture.
Then theres the other items needed for him and beverly as well as whatever district your working on outside of the event.
So my thoughts if you want the story, or 8 hours sleep, or not want to explain to your boss why you cant take your break early, or or or…shell out the clams .

    1. I had the same problem until I realized you have to hit the ship twice before it goes off screen. It will reset once it goes out of site so hit it twice in a row before you lose site of it and I now always get something needed. Good luck!

      1. Ok. Wasted 10 more crystals to determine if it shows damage than the second shot destroys it. But here is the results of my shot series.
All shots hit same shielded ship before off screen.

Shot 1 no damage. Shot 2 no damage.
Shot 1 damage. Shot 2 destroy.
Shot 1 damage. Shot 2 destroy.
Shot 1 no damage. Shot 2 no damage. Shot 3 no damage.

Apparently hitting the ship alone is not good enough. Aaa argh!!

        Like

    2. Also, make sure that target turns red!! For bOth shots!! Sometimes it doesn’t turn red for that second shot if you are aiming for the “same spot”. Just an observation

      Like

      1. There shouldn’t be any problems with hitting it now. I think if you’re struggling then you’re probably doing it wrong so I’ll share some tips that worked for me:
Wait for the right moment, which could take some time. I only wait until a petercraft appears that is moving from one side of the screen to the other horizontally, in other words left to right or right to left, don’t just hit the first one you see. This allows the most time and therefore greatest chance to hit it and you don’t rush as much.
When the right petercraft appears, position the target just in front of it so it moves into the target, and shoot once.
When the game congratulates you on the hit repeat the last step (position the target in front then shoot) and collect your items.
If it doesn’t count the hit, let it go as it will be difficult to hit it twice now that you’re rushing. You have more chance of hitting another one later after waiting.
Also don’t even think of attempting to shoot if you only have one phaser left as two hits are needed to blast a shielded peter craft so collect more and try again after a couple hours.

        Like

    3. Make sure its red when you shoot. Also watch out for asteriods that get in front of the ship, they will block you. Asteriods that pass behind the ship should be fine. It was a pain a few times until you get it going.

  7. I am hoping that your walkthrough for the main quest line is wrong as this would be the first time we would need a skin (Vulcan Quadmire) to advance to the next stage. I understand that we will need Beverly (challenge in and of itself) but adding Vulcan giggidity is too much.

  8. I really like this event but it’s just getting too hard every week. I’m only a freemium player but I play several times a day, I have no idea how many are managing to unlock everything so quickly! I still haven’t unlock the two characters from last week yet and I’m not even close to unlocking them. I only finished collecting the chocolates for Deanna (sp?) and unlock her yesterday. I hope they can extend it for an extra week at the end to give us time to catch up without having to use clams

    Like

    1. I’m having a similar experience as a freemium player. Even though I’ve been playing at least 10 times per day & am at about 80% on Starfleet level 6 meter, I’ve only progressed to unlock Troi. Still not close to unlocking other new costumes & characters & event is half over. To top it off, I had around 40 clams mysteriously disappear after I tried doing the rebuilding rooms technique to get blue orbs.

      Like

    2. I’m also fully freemium and know exactly how you feel. I need 7 Felicium for sf Lois and 9 laser pointers for locutus but haven’t collected a sinks item for the new ones as it’s just too much and takes too long. Everyone else must be paying clams as that’s exactly what tiny co want. I’ve played every single event before this am this is definitely the worst one so don’t feel too bad.

      Like

      1. Diddo. I JUST got the Lois skin and still need 8 Laser Pointers for the other. I get on all the time (like every 2 or 3 hours and once during the middle of the night when I get up to let out the dogs to potty). I’m Freemium and I used the clams that took me months to collect to get Worf (I was intending to get Buzz with them who is my last non-event premium character) and I’m STILL major behind.

I often considered buying clams but the cash/clam exchange rate is awful. They are expensive everywhere, but being in the US means they are even more expensive than the UK (calculated exchange rates). A 50% increase in clams per (currency) would be ideal or at least 2 clam sales per year with one not being right after Christmas when I’m dead broke (I buy work clothes and such for the year along with gifts).

        Like

    1. I have gotten any yet but I stopped trying until I find out that are the best combos to destroy to get them. Also it looks like there will be a quest triggered at some point to destroy a certain number of Petercraft in X amount of time in order to get a prize. Save your phaser energy for now and will let you know.

      Like

      1. This is just typical of tinyco, isn’t it? first we have to collect a ridiculous amount of rare items, then theres only one freemium way, and that requires insane amount of phaser energy which also has a chance of dropping after 6 hours, and to top it all off it doesn’t count hits even when we hit the petercraft!!!! Also they don’t even consider fixing it!!!!!!!

It’s bad enough but understandable if they favour premium players over freemium, but when it becomes impossible for both types of players, tinycrap become our enemies.

  9. I’ve been playing this game since last July, and while I may agree everything Star Trek has been challenging, it’s also a bit refreshing that TinyCo isn’t just “giving” us these new characters and skins- kinda like they replaced “easy” gameplay mode with “medium” or “hard.” Players that have been playing long enough to be current with everything have been bored lately, so kudos to TinyCo (& to the folks running FamilyGuyTips).

  10. ๐ŸŒŸStarting to think I’m probably gonna end this event early. Sad to even say that because it would be my very 1st event I’m giving up on since I started playing back in ComicCon. These new characters are just gonna take up the rest of the event time No Doubt and alot of players are going to be mad&&upset, bumming out if they feel everything is just getting too ridiculous as the event goes on.Ugh. Yeah I know it’s “just a game”, but games are SUPPOSE to be fun,..not even CLOSE to being stressful to some people.blehh..That is all. ๐Ÿ˜ญ ๐Ÿ˜ฅ ๐Ÿ˜ฃ
    ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ’ซ

    1. Try to relax and just do the fun bits – TinyCo usually put things right eventually and it’s not much fun getting stressed out about the game balance. They’ve put a lot of effort into this one, and it’s a way more original event than most of the recent ones, lots of new game mechanics and mini-games. I’m sure if it was a tedious re-hash of previous events with some new graphics they wouldn’t have made so many balance errors, but then the game would have been totally boring.

      Like

  11. I had a hunch that when TinyCo found out about the room exploit, they’d ratchet up the amount of items needed for future weeks. What they appear to be doing is trying to adjust the difficulty upward so that the small percentage of users who were aware of it would still need to pay them money.

Which means your average user is simply boned.

    Like

  12. Everyone. Ignore the side quests. Focus on characters and costume 25 clams and 50 clams and concentrate on main quests. That’s what I am doing at the moment. Working so far for me (freemium player myself) but .it’s really tight. The most difficult event I must say.

  13. ๐ŸŒŸI just leveled up to Starfleet Level 6 yesterday AND I was able to upgrade the WarpCore to 4 today when it was released. Now I don’t have ANY of the new questlines AT ALL, but I unlocked the Sick Bay and now collecting for Beverly Crusher?? Only part I dont have done YET is unlocking Locutus!! I need like a bunch more of Laser Pointers!!
So do we HAVE TO HAVE Locutus unlocked before we get the phase4 new questlines???
    ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ’ซ

    Like

    1. Yes unfortunately Pt8 of “A Ship Without Picard” requires unlocking Locutus, and only when we get to Pt9 will you get the prompt to upgrade the warp core and then start on “The Road to Recovery”. I just unlocked Locutus this morning after nearly a week spent on the last of the pointers and advanced to Pt2 of RtR right away.
      https://familyguytips.com/2015/04/07/star-trek-week-3-the-walkthroughs/
From the looks of it, we may want to save up on Phasers before completing Pt2. Saw the comment below about the quests to clear X Ships in Y hours. I sincerely hope this is for clams. Can anyone confirm?

      Like

      1. I just wanna clarify that we only need locutus to get the new week’s questline. We can still start unlocking the new character and costume without unlocking locutus, we just need to be at starfleet level 6 for that.
Since the questlines are getting stupider and harder, I’ve stopped caring about them now, though.

        Like

      2. Saad-
I didn’t feel the need to say that because sweettat already stated that they were able to access the new warp core and access sickbay despite not having Locutus.

This event gets worse every week!!!
Last week we needed Deanna trio for part 2 of the main quest, and now we need starfleet Lois for part 2 of the main quest. And what do they have in common? Both have one item which takes aaaages to collect. Looks like I have to delay this update too.

    1. It’s in the files with Geordi Cleveland. As are alternate outfits for Chris, Meg, Stewie and Quagmire. Wesley Crusher is in there as well. Was almost certain he’d be the premium character for this week. But we didn’t get one..

    1. I uninstalled…I was going to use this event as one last hurrah and then quit but another 20ish days of the “lets send all your characters to planet x instead of trying for orange phaser drops” & then being rewarded with 5 dilthium crystals (over and over again, I was trying for the warbird) or lets see how bad server lag will effect your shooting (protip: the new ship needs two orange crystals to destroy, they still take 6 hours to maybe drop….Bonnie went over 30 hours (5 collections and still no green cube)…

    2. Nope I gave up too. I have won just about every character since I started playing during the King tut event. Yet this is so boring. I only sleep for about 4 hours per day and I’m struggling for resources and even crystals. I have leveled up fine due to the taco van exploit advancing me one level. This even is so geared to making you buy for example Vulcan. Bombs have never been as hard to get as phaser energy.

      Like

      1. could someone tell me what was this Taco thing? I’ve read it was a glitch somehow, but never knew what was it all about. Although I know they have removed it, and it is probably why we need to level up 2 stages each week now… I’m just curious.

        Like

      2. In the beginning of the event there was a glitch that if you bought the Taco Truck you would receive 25 XP for star trek. Once it was discovered by Tiny Co. the Taco Truck was removed from the game.

As for having to go up two star fleet levels in order to upgrade the warp core, this was how they planned it. If you remember with other event you only have to level up one level to get to the next stage, typically meaning that by the last week you had to be at level 5 in order to fully unlock the content of the game. But even after you reached level 5 you would still be able to keep collecting for the game and get to level 10.

So this time they made it so that we would all have to be to level 10 in order to get the upgrade rather than getting to a level un collecting XP for no reason except to say you got to level 10.

  15. Where are we supposed to be getting all the phaser energy from? Who the heck has 20 phaser energy laying around? What a joke! I didn’t do a single quest line last week and focused solely on the characters. It seems I will do the same this week and just forget about quests. Who comes up with this stuff?

    1. Jeez! Is this at least for clams? I’m gonna hold off completing Pt2 of Road to Recovery so I don’t trigger this quest. I’m gonna save up on as much phaser energy as I can since evidently we will need to spend at least 100 in just over 2 days! >:O

      Like

      1. There wouldn’t be a price if you do not do it within the time limit, hence the whole point of having the time limit. It would be similar when they had the task to send certain characters to certain planet in a certain time frame. You could do it and try and get the prize or ignore it and not get the prize.

        Like

      2. I know. But I am have yet to see the quest pop up and and holding off until I have more phaser energy saved as it will take 100 phaser energy to complete the whole quest line and get the prize. Once we know what the prize is we will post in in the walk through section

      3. Lol at least Logan understands me.
Jamie, I’ll wait for you to get the quest but if you can’t answer the question just say so. That first reply was just confusing and pointless, even though I know you didn’t intend it to be. I’m just asking what the prize is so I know if it’s worth doing or not. If it’s just a useless deco I’ll ignore it but clams are a bigger attraction. Hopefully someone who has the quest open can answer.
