How do I unlock District 9?
This content is available on the 1.2 update, which is currently only available for Android devices. We are working hard to get the iOS update out as soon as possible. These two platforms have different review processes and we do our best to plan releases at the same time.
To unlock District 9, you will need to complete District 8, which ends with the quest “Freaks and Geeks Pt. 7.” Once you’ve completed this quest, find Stewie. He will have a “!” above his head. Tap on him to start the quests for unlocking District 9.
District 9 will be released in different stages. The first stage is to build the Blimp, clear land and find Tom Tucker. The land for District 9 will unlock once you complete the “Precious Metal” quests (Parts 1-4), “Build-a-Blimp” quests (Parts 1-7), and “What the Deuce Pt. 1.”
What is the Blimp?
This content is available on the 1.2 update, which is currently only available for Android devices. We are working hard to get the iOS update out as soon as possible. These two platforms have different review processes and we do our best to plan releases at the same time.
Stewie is working on a secret new experiment and needs to build a blimp to help him travel like a turn-of-the-century villain. More on this feature soon, but first you need to build this Blimp!
To trigger the “Build-a-Blimp Pt. 1” quest, you will need to complete the last quest of District 8, which is “Freaks and Geeks Pt. 7” and the new “Precious Metal” quests (Parts 1-4). Once you’ve completed Pt 1 of the Blimp quest, you’ll be able to start collecting items to construct the Blimp, which will be located in the water.
To build the Blimp, you will need the following items:
8 Blimp frames (uncommon) from Lois, Stewie and Brian
10 Blimp Propellers (rare) from Stewie, Quagmire, Brian and Seamus
5 Blimp Plutonium (extra rare) from Stewie and Brian
10 Blimp Control Panels (uncommon) from Stewie, Brian, Tricia and Joe
How do I unlock Tom Tucker?
This content is available on the 1.2 update, which is currently only available for Android devices. We are working hard to get the iOS update out as soon as possible. These two platforms have different review processes and we do our best to plan releases at the same time.
To unlock Tom Tucker, you will need to complete the “Precious Metal” quest (Parts 1-4), “Build-a-Blimp” quests (Parts 1-7) and “What the Deuce Pt. 1.” This will unlock District 9. Once you’ve cleared enough land, you can rebuild Quahog 5 News to begin unlocking Tom Tucker.
To unlock Tom Tucker, you will need the following items:
20 Microphones (uncommon) from Stewie, Chris and Brian
12 Action Slates (rare) from Brian and Quahog 5 News
10 Satellites (extra rare) from Peter, Stewie, Channel 5 News Van and Tom Tucker’s Trailer
8 Mustache Creams (extra rare) from Dr. Hartman and Stewie
Or you can unlock him instantly for 1120 clams.
Where is Mayor West?
Mayor West is currently not in the game yet. District 9 will be released in different stages. The first stage is to build the Blimp, clear land and find Tom Tucker. If you’ve already completed these quests, stay tuned! District 9 content is scheduled to be a timed release over the coming weeks. You’ll learn more about the Blimp, what Stewie has planned, and additional characters soon!
Note: District 9 is available on the 1.2 update, which is currently only available for Android devices. We are working hard to get the iOS update out as soon as possible. These two platforms have different review processes and we do our best to plan releases at the same time.
How do I unlock Jailhouse Meg?
Meg is back from the slammer! To start working on this costume, you’ll need to complete the quest “Freaks and Geeks Pt. 7.”
To unlock Jailhouse Meg, you will need the following items:
20 Poop Buckets (common) from Seamus, Mort and Chris
12 Blue Glass (rare) from Peter, Stop ‘N Shop and Quahog Mini-Mart
8 Soaps (rare) from Connie and Joe
5 Tattoo Machines (extra rare) from Lois, Dr. Hartman and Meg
Or you can unlock this costume instantly for 600 clams.
Once complete, this costume will drop Plutonium, which you’ll need to build the Blimp for District 9.
Why is District 9 available on Android and not iOS?
District 9 content is available on the 1.2 update, which is currently only available for Android devices. We are working hard to get the iOS update out as soon as possible. These two platforms have different review processes and we do our best to plan releases at the same time. Thank you for your patience!
Why are my Blimp creation items not collecting properly?
The Blimp Items do not trigger a yellow quest progress bar in the top right, but they are collecting normally to your account. Plutonium, Propellers, Control Panels, and Frames will add to your total the instant you complete and action and they drop. You can double check that they are dropping correctly by noting your item totals before completing such actions.
If you have any further questions, please ask away in the comments below and I will try and answer, if not, will contact TinyCo for an answer!
I just wanna know where the heck the support for the windows phone 8.1 platform is. TinyCo & Fox made the game available for windows 8.1, accepted money in game, and then absolutely quit supporting it. Completely unethical! Get your sh*t together TiyCo & Fox!

Hello Paula.
First of all, I helped tidy up your post so it would look nicer to the readers here. And second, the “plutonium” that you speak of, I take it you are meaning the “Blimp Plutonium”. So far the blimp plutonium is not obtainable at this moment, but it should be available sometime after the Halloween event. Stay patience and you’ll be able to get it within the next month or two.

I have Channel 5 News completed, but when I try to click the check mark to start working on Tom Tucker, I get booted off the game entirely. It does the same thing when I try to buy Human Rupert. Is this just a glitch?? I’ve completed the blimp, jailhouse Meg, and am working on Pink Brian, they all work fine. Thanks in advance

Sounds like a glitch in the game to me Chris, have you sent a message to TinyCo in the game to make them aware of it?

You need to complete “Freaks and Geeks Pt. 7”, “Build-a-Blimp Pt. 1-7” and “What the Deuce Pt. 1” for District 9 to open up!

Ok. I did all of Freaks and Geeks. Build a Blimp hasn’t activated anywhere yet. I finished Carter this morning. Stewie is on Precious Metal quest.

Well I had finished Precious Metal beforehand so I’m not sure whether that has anything to do with it, but TinyCo haven’t confirmed that yet.

New quest. Party animals. A huge crate appears and you have to buy “Dumb Beaver” (25 Clams), “Dancing Porcupine” (75 Clams) and “Live Studio Ostrich” (150 Clams). Reward is “Cooked Out Giraffe”. Have until Monday to complete.
I had to do it since the animals are some of my favorite cut-away gags. Cooked Out Giraffe’s animation is hilarious!

I’m real exited about district 9. I’m moving right along. With Bonnie and completing Stewies tasks. I am also happy they opened up new space. I accumulated enough money to expand all 3; comes from diligent playing. Hope everyone else is having fun.

Is there a reason for me to rush through this? I hope this is not limited time content.

Never known the Districts to be timed. I think they do that to give us a reprieve between events. Ideally you can be close to finished with it by the time the next event (Halloween) begins so you can focus on that though.
